sup, long time no type... gotta reason now, briefly, the smell of new ibook, say hello to the man on the moon, yadda yadda, and so forth.

here is my ass camera phone's version of the summer. have a couple shots of tequila first, you might be able to actually see something take form in each shoddy ass fuckin' bullshit quality photo. thank's sony ericsson!

ok so canada day, good on so many levels but to avoid causing unnecessary pain, i'll keep most of it to myself and just show you a pic of my living room on canada day, july 1st, 2005

the party climaxed with a canteloupe-off-balcony launch as the sun rose. sorry squish, it was rotting anyway. needless to say, i felt the ouzo, absynthe, baja mocha, multi-beer death the next day. thank god for a&e and ginger ale.

the month end reward for my abalones was a dinner cruise and $50 at the casino. the cruise was tight, bitches. here are my hoes on the deck:

we spotted some tallships n' since my life and bloodflow relies on the existence of boats and the sea i thought i oughtta get my camera on crack to take note:

my family expanded when i adopted rodrigo cruz who had a nice sound system implanted on my birthday. rogue wave sounds nice in rodrigo. and kings of leon. and pinetop and pinback and postal service and stuff like that, you know, unbad stuff. rodrigo will spit you out if you so much as mention smashing pumpkins. vroooooom. goes like stink. sell your minivan if you're so jealous.

squish and i did a lot of garage'ing (this is the act of seeking out, visiting and and buying junk at local garage sales). the two most memorable items bought were the alvin phone:

m3 got friendly with him:

and the hoops (congrats to mike for hittin' 40 in a row - it'll be beat one day):

gizmoe made lots of friends, friendly little fella that he is. m3 and smo:

burke n' smo

i went from blonde

to pink

and learned to play texas hold 'em (pretty quick i might add, i'll kick your ass, too)

hung out with my brotha from another motha:

listened to some awesome tunes, including but not limited to, the postal service, rogue wave, ted leo, kings of leon, neutral milk hotel, sun kil moon, red house painters, pinetop seven, pinback, optiganally yours, and lots and lots of another joe in honor of my bubble pal, drummer john.

rekindled my love affair with the tacky hat

visited many upscale dining establishments, one overlooking the tarmac at yvr. mmmm, overpriced yuppie food just for shits and giggles

burke waxed nostalgia by drinking old e

spent the weekend with kids in pemberton, john made us manacotti (mmmm) and we sat on the beach at a lake under the blackcomb glacier and got toasty.

and finally, only last weekend, i spotted the sasquatch hangin out in the rapids of the chilliwack river. nooooo, that's drummer john, getting out of the cool water "jacuzzi". drinking beer in cold rapids can be dangerous. i lost two pairs of sandals. eeek. hated the stupid sandals anyway.

and i got to hear the sweet sound of mike's voice for the first time in 4 yrs. and i got my very first laptop. and i played cards, drinking gin n' tonic, in a tent in the pissing rain with my furry little monkey asleep, exhausted from his day of motoring around with barks and growls at the wildlife. and it's not over yet. i'm a slaphappy turd with no fuckin substance right now and you all can bite it cause the doldrums have faded and chordo's back.

there's just an empty space

today i heard the most beautiful sound in the world. a recording of a robotic man's voice saying "this call is originating from an ohio correctional institution and may be recorded". yeah i heard him for the first time in 4 years and i'm elated and crushed at the same time. only ten minutes and his voice is my friends voice still and i heard it, i heard him say i love you.
